Mary and I have a working idea of our itinerary for the big trip. Here’s the order of countries, length of stay and approximate dates that we’re considering:
9/28-10/18 - Ecuador (3 weeks)
10/19-11/15 - Peru (4 weeks)
11/16-12/6 - Bolivia (3 weeks)
12/7-12/21 - Chile - Maybe (2 weeks)
12/22-1/14 - Argentina (3 weeks)
1/15-1/20 - Rochester, USA (1 week)
1/21-2/14 - Thailand (4 weeks)
2/15-2/21 - Loas (1 week)
2/22-2/28 - Cambodia (1 week)
3/1-3/7 - Vietnam (1 week)
3/8-3/11 - Thailand (1 week)
3/12-5/10 - India (9 weeks)
This list is preliminary and we can push some of the dates around to accomodate visitors, festivals, rest stops or lunar eclipses. We put up our world map today and have been scouring it all night pointing to countries in curious amazement — it’s a BIG world out there!
